The Diamond on the Island is a house built and furnished for the traveler who demands the highest quality standards. It is located in the exclusive gated resort of Emerald Island. Two stop signs and two traffic lights, a 10-minute drive, separate you from Disney property!
Your Magical Vacation starts when you see the dramatic palm tree-lined entrance with the beautiful foliage leading up to the security gates. Then you see the dolphin fountains and the very popular Clubhouse. As you meander down the street past the preserved park area, you begin to understand you are in a beautiful, elegant and secure world.
The “Diamond on the Island” has 6 bedrooms and 5 ½ bathrooms with a maximum occupancy of 19. The 4 Master Suites with King Size beds and private baths allow several couples to have their necessary privacy. The two 2-twin-bed bedrooms and additional full-bath are furnished for the younger guests of your group, with fun, colorful and playful decor.
The entire house is decorated in an elegant manner with upscale furnishing providing a warm and homey atmosphere for you to enjoy. As you enter the house, you are presented with a beautiful Burgundy Sofa and a Cocktail Table in the cozy Living Room. The floor here and throughout all downstairs rooms is tiled that allows you and your guests to relax, except for the Master Suite that has a high-quality diamond-patterned rug to provide the appropriate elegance for the Master Suite. A few steps in and you are at the stunning Dining Room with its double pedestal dining table and six high-backed upholstered chairs. The Grand Foyer Table with Marble top provides the majestic piece for the hallway leading into the Kitchen and Family Room.
As you enter the Kitchen and Family Room area, you are overcome by the vaulted ceiling in the Family Room with its 18 feet long ceiling to floor drapes professionally made with the beautiful butterfly fabric and the 8 feet wide glass doors out to the pool deck from both the Kitchen and the Family Room. The two full size leather couches facing the 50-inch LED Smart TV invite you to relax on their power-reclining seats. The fully stocked Kitchen invites you to skip the fuss of going to restaurants and instead enjoy the pool and house.
The 40-foot wide roof over the first 10 feet of pool deck (Lanai) provides an outdoor area rain or shine! The two ceiling speakers allow you to enjoy music from the Family Room stereo without disturbing those inside possibly watching TV. You could then step into the 15 x 30-foot crystal clear water of the heated pool or really relax in the 105-degree Jacuzzi, or you can just lay back on one of our comfortable loungers. The pool and lanai are South-facing which give you sun all day long, with the option of staying under the Lanai for shade. The pool has an easily removable safety fence providing extra protection for young children.
Sleeping accommodations at the Diamond on the Island are exceptional. The 4 king-size beds and 4 twin-size beds have extraordinarily comfortable mattresses and are fitted with high quality bedding sets that make sleeping a true pleasure. All bedrooms have Samsung LED HD Smart flat screen TVs. All bedrooms, as well as the Family Room, have ceiling fans to provide the ultimate comfort.
For the person who must do some work while away, the Loft has a beautiful desk and a very comfortable chair where any work, with or without a computer, can be done. Lastly, there is a Security System that monitors and controls many different actions to make your stay more comfortable and most importantly secure.
The exquisite Emerald Island Resort Clubhouse of 4,000 square feet has a heated pool and spa, fitness room, sauna, Tiki Bar, gathering room, computers with free unlimited internet access and a video game room. These discounts can be more than $1,000 off a one-week rental.
The rates above reflect BOTH of these discounts. You MUST satisfy the requirements to get these low rates.
Pool Heating fees for use of the PROPANE GAS water heater vary by month based on the actual cost to heat the water. Spa Use is FREE.

I am the father of 7 and grandfather of 10. Disney trips started in 1976 and continue to this day. It's hard to find a place with more vacation options than the Orlando area. We saw this development being built in 2000 and decided this was the ideal place to own a short-term rental house our children and grandchildren could use while renting it out in between. The Financial Crisis of 2007-8 brought much grief to this community. As Treasurer and President of the Homeowner’s Association, I was able to keep the association’s cash flow at a healthy level and thereby preserved the vital landscaping services. The location is almost perfect at 3 miles from Disney and the landscaping is outstanding. Animal Kingdom is 10 minutes away, Disney Hollywood Studios is 15 minutes and the Magic Kingdom is 20 minutes away. Some say the landscaping at the resort is like an extension of the Disney landscaping. The house provides everything imaginable to have a great vacation experience.
