Welcome to Buttonwood Cottage. This elegant nautically inspired single family beach home sleeps 8 comfortably. We have 3 nicely appointed bedrooms and 2 full baths. The master BR has a king bed and flat screened T.V., the second BR a queen bed as well as a twin bed under the window for afternoon reading or naping, and the third BR has 2 twin trundle beds that sleep 4.
The spacious dining room features a long hand-tooled solid wood table with a bonus bright corner desk for staying connected via WiFi. Nautical designer decorations are featured throughout the house and amenities include: fresh new bed and bath linens, beach towels, ceiling fans in just about every room, 2 new flat screen HDTVs, Netflix streamed, huge gourmet kitchen complete with wine cooler, a robust fresh herb garden, propane grill, indoor and outdoor dining tables; beach chairs to take to the white sand and an abundance of beach toys as well. Five bikes are also available
Fresh landscaping and palm tree breezes make the front deck ideal for relaxing. Privacy fencing, the herb garden and comfortable seating make the 35ft long rear porch even more appealing. Tropical accessories invite you to relax after a day of beaching, biking or shopping on the island. The addition of a new pool and outdoor shower makes it a perfect day after returning from the beach.
We are situated in the heart of Anna Maria on Pine Ave, in the walkable “Green Village” sprinkled with residential cottages, retail shops and restaurants lining the street. The Gulf of Mexico and the Tampa Bay are a 3 block walk in either direction. Anna Maria has a free Island Trolley that runs every 20 -30 minutes, takes you anywhere on the 7 mile island and picks you & drops you off on Pine Ave, just steps from the cottage.
The city of Anna Maria has no fast food restaurants, no traffic lights and no high rises. It’s Old Florida at its best, when things were tranquil and living was easy. Whether your goal is to finish that good book you’ve been reading, stroll quaint island shops or gather your collection of seashells, it’s easily accomplished here.
Nature lovers will be amazed at the natural habitat of Anna Maria. Whether you’re a bird watcher, shell collector, fishing enthusiast, or master gardener, you’ll find what you’re looking for here. Our sugar sand beaches are strewn with seashells and are well populated by shore birds, sea turtles and dolphins.
