INSIDE THE HOUSE
This vibrant turquoise beach house is just as bright as your vacation. The home features two floors of living space and large windows for lots of light. The homeowners run a furniture store, so it has been professionally decorated in a sunny Texas style with a touch of modernity. Rest assured, you’ll be comfortable and stylish.
The house has plenty of space for you to bring up to a dozen of your favorite people with you on vacation.
Through the front door, head up the stairs to the main living area. The open floor plan is great for entertaining large groups, with love seats, several tables, an entertainment center, and a flat-screen TV. It also features a lounge area and a reading nook for a little bit of privacy.
The kitchen is fully equipped for making large meals (or grill the day’s catch outside on the barbeque). The dining area seats six at a long rustic table, with additional seating at a separate round wooden table and at the kitchen island.
Settle into the Adirondack chairs on the second-floor wraparound decks -- the perfect spot for some light reading. There is also a wooden dining table and a set of wicker patio furniture outside. Enjoy views of the bay from your lofty perch.
The master bedroom is upstairs and features a king-size bed as well as an en-suite bathroom with a tub/shower combination. There is also a half bath on this floor.
The rest of the bedrooms are located on the first floor, including the second bedroom with a queen bed and an en-suite bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The third bedroom offers a queen bed, while the fourth bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds (four beds total) and a flat-screen TV. A shared bathroom features a large double vanity and a walk-in shower.
The fifth bedroom includes a comfortable king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a tub/shower combination.
You’ll really love this house, but don’t forget, the beach is always close by. And, if you’re not up for salt water, you can wander straight from your porch to one of the Royal Sands’ pools -- just through the gate behind the house.

Hop on a bike and ride the boardwalk down to the beach. Don’t miss Texas Sandfest in late spring, but no matter when you visit, take advantage of how close you are to the ocean. Be sure to check out the birding center and wetland tours, too.
The island is full of seafood restaurants, bars, and live music.
